Alessandra Ambrosio, a Brazilian supermodel, w as born in Erexim, Brazil, on the 11th of April, 1981. Following a course of modeling lessons in Brazil Alessandra entered Elite Model Management's "Look of the Year" contest in 1996. Although she did not win the contest a year later she was offered a contract by Elite. After a short stay with Elite she switched to Marilyn Gaultier's agency. Alessandra Ambrosio is one of the faces of Guess?, Next (UK) and Victoria's Secret (was the spokesmodel for their 2004 Pink line). Her first modeling job was the cover of the Brazilian Marie Claire and she has graced the covers of magazines such as Capricho, Desfile, Elle (Brazil), Wallpaper, and Harper's Bazaar (Spanish) . Alessandra appeared on the Bravo show Project Runway (Season 2) as a guest judge.
