Abi Titmuss - Bikini Pictures

She was born in Sleaford, Lincolnshire, where she went to school. She lived in the village of Ruskington.
Before becoming famous, she worked as a nurse. She first became known to the public when her then-boyfriend, TV presenter John Leslie, was accused of raping another woman (the charges were subsequently dropped). Her tabloid-friendly looks and ease in front of the camera earned her a presenting job on Richard & Judy. She lost that job when a home sex video of Leslie, Titmuss and another woman found its way onto the Internet. She took up presenting on pornographic channel Television X.

Her other television work includes training as a chef on the 2004 series of Hell’s Kitchen, and in 2005, she appeared on Channel 4’s The Friday Night Project as a regular guest feature, and later she took part in ITV’s Celebrity Love Island. While filming the Love Island series, Titmuss helped herself to numerous courses of dinners and desserts and put on a stone in weight. As a result, the press jokingly dubbed her Flabby Abi, referring to the double chin she had developed. She also met current boyfriend, ex-footballer Lee Sharpe on the program.

Outside of television, she has also modelled in many UK lad’s mags, such as FHM (she was voted #7 in FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2005), and regularly appears on the cover of the Nuts magazine. She also receives coverage in tabloid and occasionally broadsheet newspapers, and often stages paparazzi photographs, for which she is paid royalties if the pictures are printed.

She made her West End acting debut in March 2006, playing a prostitute in a play by Arthur Miller, Two Way Mirror, at the Courtyard Theatre in Covent Garden to generally poor reviews. However, it should be noted that these tabloid reviews were conducted during the play’s preview performances, and not on the actual opening night as is typical of West End Productions. She was reported to have been extremely nervous (especially since the press weren’t supposed to be reviewing Two Way Mirror for another five days or so), and as a result, Abi struggled to give a solid first performance. On the other hand, theatre critics actually praised her first foray into the world of acting, citing that she had great potential and was clearly a capable actress.

In a touch of irony, Abi was due to have been the subject of a theatre production herself in a musical satire entitled “Being Abi”, performed by students in her home county of Lincolnshire. Devised by pupils at Boston College and shown at the Theatre Royal, Lincoln in May 2006, it was scheduled for a three-day run before it was cancelled after concerns by parents of two teenage performers in the show over some of its content.
